Insight for today

It was awesome weather today, so perfect conditions to explore the nature. Students notice that water flow was smaller than last week... its true that situations can change in a short period of time like this. This is one reason why we should consider to use continuous measuring systems.

After the students left, I tried to learn to use FlowTracker ADV handheld discharge measurement device. It resulted 1,2 l/s discharge for the output stream of Pieni-Valkeinen... Let's see is it even close to students results.

By the way, We found some trash from the surroundings of the pond and we thought to collect them out next friday. Hopefully, this will give an example to others who are exploring our nature. Take all the trash with you, please!

Ah, nature is refreshing! Do you agree?

  1. Agreed! The weather was nice and lake Pieni-Valkeinen is also nice with the surrounding nature preservation area. I went for a little walk in the spruce forest afterwards - nature therapy at its best!
